Santa Delivers . . .

I asked Santa for a "Cricut"
and Santa delivered this . . .
Not really quite the same but oh well.
Christmas also brought a new member to our family . . .
Zapato!
He does not live at our house but is a new member of Ty's family.
We had a great Christmas. We will not all be together again for Christmas for at least 4 years and I wanted time with everyone there and happy and it actually happened which made for the best Christmas ever!

Another wrestling weekend with inspiration

It was another weekend of wrestling.

Morgan's team warming up and getting ready for the action.
Jenni has made a new friend at wrestling this year - Charlie. They both have a good time entertaining each other. The first one there is always on the lookout for the other. Saturday Jenni was a little bored because Charlie had to go to a different wrestling tournament with her mom:(
However, Kortnee spent a lot of time doing cat's cradle with . . . .
Millie (Charlie's sister).
The boys waiting for the next round to begin . . .
and more waiting around . . . .
more . . . .
and even more.
Jackson's final match up.
We had three varsity boys make it to the finals . . .
Jackson, Colton and Randon
Jackson in the final round
(Jackson weighed in at 219 while this wrestler weighed in at 280)
Jackson and Colton took 2nd in the tournament while Randon took 1st - Way to go boys.
One inspiration is this amazing team - they took 1st place
out of 14 teams.
My 2nd inspiration is this one legged wrestler. I have watched him the last two weekends and he is amazing. He is from Woods Cross and has gone undefeated both weekends.
Not only is he an amazing wrestler but I have been so impressed with his teammates . . . I have seen many of them carrying him around on their backs getting from one place to the next.
He really is one legged and amazing.
He has given me something to think about . . . I don't know why he only has one leg but he does not let it stop him. I have two legs and yet I let so many things stop me and I complain a lot. I am going to work on being more positive and look at what I can accomplish.
It was a great weekend.
We get two weekends off from wrestling to enjoy the holidays!

The training begins again or continues . . .

I registered for the Moab 5 mile race that will be in March and I just got an email stating that I was drawn in the lottery to participate. I will have Jenni running with me this year - WAHOO!
The training begins now because I want to be able to run the whole thing and I want to have a better time than last year!

More Wrestling

We have had another weekend of wrestling and Jackson is pretty beat up and feeling it today. He has had 12 matches over the last nine days and has only lost one.
I am not so sure that I like him wrestling the heavy-weight (215 - 285 pounds) because he only weighs about 218-220 and a lot of the guys are much bigger than him.
We are so proud of him and how he has grown this last year.

Wrestling Time Again!

Wrestling season started this weekend with a tournament in Evanston Wyoming. We arrived at the tournament yesterday about 9:30 am and Jackson did not wrestle until after 4:30. Jackson has decided to wrestle heavyweight this year. On his final match today he was behind in points and with less than 2 seconds on the clock he had a take down and ended up winning. He took 1st place in Varsity Heavyweight.
We are so excited for wrestling this year and the adventure that is ahead of us but I am not sure that my heart can take it.
Way to go Jackson - we are proud of you.
