End of an Era :o(

Jackson started wrestling four years ago in his freshman year. He had Coach Allen for Geography and he asked Jackson if he would wrestle (he had also asked us if we would let Jackson wrestle) and Jackson told him NO, absolutely not because he wanted to play basketball. He tried out for basketball and did not make the team. I asked him if he was going to wrestle and he still said NO. However about five days later he told us he wanted to be up at 5:30 am the next morning because he was going to lift weights with the wrestling team and it is all history from there.

The first year we spent a lot of time waiting for Jackson to wrestle and then it was over in just a short time.

Over the last four years I have made many new friends and renewed some old friendships. I have enjoyed the social aspect of wrestling as much as I have enjoyed wrestling itself.

This year was no different. I have enjoyed the many friendships this year but especially these two . . .

I work with this sweet chick and it has been fun to spend some time away from work chatting and enjoying a friendship. I have learned a lot from Steph and shared a lot of laughs.

I am glad that I still get to see her every work day:) Love ya Steph!
This cute chick has become a very good friend this year also.
We worked together several years ago at the Middle School and her son wrestled two years ago so we have a little history together but this year has got to be the best.
We have shared a lot together - definitely lots of laughs and maybe a bit of venting and more laughs and a bit of crying.

I'm not sure that I will miss the wrestling as much as I will miss the friends and the socializing.
