So a person diets and loses weight and then they fall for whatever reason off the band wagon and gain some weight back. Then they jump back on and lose weight again and then fall off. This cycle repeats itself and for every person it is different.
Now the question is . . . at what point can you say you have lost so much weight?
Do you count it each time you lose? (If so, then for me I would have probably lost hundreds of pounds by now.)
For me, I hope that this is the year that I finally reach my goal and then I can say I have lost ___ much weight in the last 3 years and have finally reached where I have been heading.
But if you never reach a goal can you ever really say that you have lost a certain amount of weight?
Just something that people were discussing last night at a meeting and I thought I would throw it out there for your thought.
Thanks in advance for the input.

Your starting weight is 100, if you lose 15lbs, gain 5, and lose 10, your totally weight loss is 20lbs, thats my opinion, at some point or another, we are all going to lose and gain weight, so therevhas to be a starting point somewhere!
I say look at it as "I met my goal of loosing weight on three different occasions and now I am trying to loose weight to get to my overall goal of ____"
