- I received a letter addressed to me saying I had been hired and that I got to attend this training; however, the letter did not list me as having a rooming assignment at the hotel. I thought that I had that covered but then the lady who was supposed to go with me had to cancel at the last minute so I questioned whether I would have a new roommate or would I be rooming along - it was confirmed by email the morning I left that the reservation was in my name and I would be rooming alone.
-I got to the hotel and they could not find my reservation or anything with my name. After about 10 minutes someone else came out and was able to quickly get me registered.
After getting everything into my room I decided to go for a little ride to check out where the training was so there would be no question the next morning. I had just got back to my room and settled in to watch Survivor when the door opens and in walks this cute lady who says she is my roommate. I may not have been very nice (well to be honest, I know that I was not very nice) as I told her I was rooming alone and it had been confirmed that morning. I tried calling the trainer who had given me that information and there was no answer. I called the next person on the list - the lady who was actually going to be doing the training and she informed there had been another cancellation and I would in deed get to share a room. I hurried out to the front desk to tell this sweet lady I was sorry and yes we really were roommates.
It may have been a bit awkward after my initial non-friendly greeting but we became good friends.
Doni Munz, Lisa Brandt, me, Michelle Clark (all trainees) and Gina our trainer at dinner one night.
We were treated very well by WW. There was a nice hot breakfast available at the hotel each morning, an assortment of fruit in our training room and then we visited different restaurants for our lunches and dinners.
The places we ate at were Pizza Factory, California Pizza (because the Cheesecake Factory was so busy), Marie Calendar's, Hopper's and Subway.
See with WW new program you really can eat anything you just need to be responsible!

Gina our wonderful trainer
She was so cute and fun. She may have picked on me a bit but she really helped me face some demons.
On Friday we were each given a different meeting to present on Saturday. Each of us have different personalities and each presented in a different way. Everyone did a great job!
Cute Lisa presenting her meeting - way fun and an excellent job!

This is the calm us after our presentations.

After our presentations and more training on Saturday we had really become close friends. We learned that we could share just about anything.
Doni was very expressive in relating an experience - way too funny!

Gina (trainer) could not believe some of the things that were being shared!

Gina just clarifying some of the details -
"Now is that Hut, Hut! like you do with a football?"

Lisa telling of one her experiences - also very expressive!

Gina hanging on to every word!
(Still not believing all that she is hearing!)
Too funny!

Gina asking, "Are these really for me?"
When we were finished Doni and Michelle (who really like to shop) had gifts to give each of us.
Gina got some beer glasses (steins?) that were shaped like footballs - again, too funny after just hearing some of the stories!

Our little training group!
It was very intense with so much to learn and absorb in a very short time. It was a life changing experience for me. I came away from the training even more excited about this new adventure in my life. I made some very good friends and each holds a special place in my heart. I am even more excited about Weight Watchers new program.
I went to the Layton WW center last night and shadowed the ladies there just trying to absorb a little more.
I will be presenting my first meeting on Thursday in Morgan and can hardly wait.

I am excited, and scared.......... I will definately have to change (after Thursday night :) No more trips past your window to the treat room (I'll have to go around, or get down on my belly and crawl like they do in the marines (haha))
I'm pathetically packing all the Easter Candy I can in before Thursday night. I am a case, that is for sure.
YAY YOU! this is so fantastic.
Thanks for being one more great inspiration. A girl can never have too many of those.
