WW Walk-it Challenge!

Saturday was the Weight Watchers 5K Walk-it Challenge in South Weber. I did not attend last year because I was doing a race somewhere else but felt that since I am a leader I should support it this year. It was fun to be surrounded by fellow Weight Watchers members and their families and friends.

MaryAnn and I

(MaryAnn is a WW Leader in Layton)

MaryAnn is my leader, my mentor, my friend and my inspiration. She has helped keep me motivated since I started Weight Watchers. She is so positive and enthusiastic. I hope that someday I will be as good of leader as she is.
The group is gathering waiting for the race.
Kristen (WW Leader in Ogden) getting ready to start the race.
They are off. Weight Watchers members, family and friends.
Some groups ordered shirts so they would match. There were people of all ages, shapes and sizes.
The walk took place in a neighborhood in South Weber and was four loops around the neighborhood block to make 5K.

Jenni and I on one of our loops around.

The walk continues.

Dale made a couple of laps around; he sure wished that he had worn his better walking shoes.

There was water and fresh fruit for everyone. Kristen did an awesome job in preparing for the race.

Jenni and I on our last lap.

We had a fun time.

I am looking forward to more races this year.

I am thinking of doing the race through the lavendar (it will be in July) and if anyone is interested in going with me I would love to have the company.
